Brommapojkarna are 11th on 30 points after 23 matches (eight wins, six draws, nine defeats, goals 36-41). Last Saturday they won 6-5 away at AIK after a goalless first half. BP led 5-1 with 20 minutes left, were pegged back to 5-5 in stoppage time and then won it through Mads Hansen with practically the last kick. It was their first league win over AIK in 20 attempts. The run before that was far less convincing: a 4-0 defeat at GAIS, a 2-1 home win over Elfsborg, a 3-1 loss at Hammarby and a 1-0 home defeat to IFK Göteborg. Hansen is the team's top scorer. At home BP have a balanced record of four wins, three draws and four defeats, and according to reports Jordan Simpson, Oliver Berg and Lukas Björklund are doubts.
Djurgården are second on 44 points (14-2-7), and share the best defence in the league with only 21 goals conceded in 23 games. Last Sunday they won the derby at Hammarby 1-0, Bo Hegland scoring in first-half stoppage time after a pass from Kristian Lien. In September they also kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 home win over GAIS, while the 2-1 defeat at Elfsborg showed they can be got at. Lien, signed permanently in January, has been prolific with around 15 league goals. Jani Honkavaara's side have been stronger away than at home this season. Defender Miro Tenho is reported to be suspended after collecting too many yellow cards.
History favours Djurgården: of the 15 meetings listed by Starting11, DIF have won nine and BP four, with two draws. The most recent league meeting went the other way, though. BP won 2-1 at Tele2 Arena on 22 May, with Mads Hansen and Simon Strand scoring either side of Mikael Anderson's equaliser. Before that, Djurgården won both league games in 2025 by 1-0 and beat BP 2-0 in the cup in March. In other words, three of the last four competitive meetings ended with one side failing to score. The likely match picture is Djurgården controlling the ball and territory, with BP waiting to break.
The main risk is BP's attack. They have scored 36 league goals, their matches average more than three goals, and they scored twice against Djurgården in May. If the game opens up the way the AIK match did, this bet is gone early. So why not simply back Djurgården to win? The visitors have lost seven times this season, including this fixture in May, and at the price we don't see enough margin in the away win. Both teams to score - No also lands if Djurgården fail to score, for example in a 0-0 or a narrow BP win. It is a bet on Djurgården's defence rather than on one specific result.
At OddsCapo, the price for both teams to score - No is 2.30 at Betfair, which implies a probability of around 43 percent. We put the chance at roughly 47 percent, based on Djurgården's defensive record, BP's two blanks in their last five league games and the low-scoring pattern in recent meetings. That is a modest edge rather than a big one, and the price is fair rather than generous. That's why we're backing both teams to score - No.
Betting tip: Both teams to score - No @ 2.30 (Betfair)
